Thomas Kingsley Resources Pty Ltd, trading as TKR Plant Hire, is a proudly privately owned company established in 2010. Our founder saw that there was a need in the market for a plant and equipment supplier committed to ensuring the successful delivery of clients’ projects. With this vision and focus TKR has successfully seen our clients deliver on-time and on-budget. Taking the time to understand our clients’ goals and requirements has allowed TKR to mature into the trusted and reliable company it is today.
At TKR Plant Hire we’re committed to safety. Our safe systems of work and internal recognition programs have helped instill our safety culture. From the managing director to the coalface, we are all committed to providing a safe workplace.
Our fleet comprises a broad range of plant and equipment, all of which are equipped with the latest tooling and technology, including specialised tooling to undertake detailed rock work within road, rail, tunnel and gas infrastructure projects.
Our diverse array of attachments covers every aspect of earthmoving and materials handling. Our machines are equipped with Topcon and Trimble GPS systems for precise position management on excavators, dozers, compactors, and graders.

TKR has one of the most extensive plant hire fleets in Queensland. Safety and Compliance
Safety is a major focus. TKR is proud of the safety culture within our organisation. TKR’s Safe Systems of Work are compliant with and facilitate the implementation of our tier 1 client’s requirements. TKR has a successful history working with contractors such as Lend Lease Building Contractors, CPB Contractors, Thiess, BMD and John Holland on various major infrastructure projects throughout QLD and NSW.
Team Work builds projects. Only through working as a team towards a common goal can TKR help our clients deliver projects safely, on time and in a cost-effective manner. TKR strongly believes that we are more than another plant hire supplier, we recognise our best assets are our employees. TKR has a strong track record of being able to integrate with project teams from ground level through to senior management – taking pride in becoming part of the project team and delivering.
Experience is invaluable. Due to the nature of our business, TKR’s management team is able to learn from unique challenges faced by our clients and share this knowledge. TKR has made considerable investment researching manufacturers and their latest products, building relationships with key market leaders such as TOPCON, and the OEMs, and assisting these companies with in-field beta testing, positioning TKR at the leading edge of these construction technologies.
Innovation is driven by industry necessity. In recent times TKR have recognised several opportunities for innovation and successfully converted these opportunities by developing new products and machine offerings. One such is our own Pipe Handling Solution for gas infrastructure. We have successfully deployed this solution through our clients to service both QGC and Santos gas infrastructure projects.
